So I think the wiki needs to be updated to be clearer about running it after installing it. I'll note to do that after I actually see that me  doing that fixes the problem.

At this point, if I run the executable that got installed, is then doing a Repair sufficient, or does it need to be a remove and install fresh?

And yes, I saw no mention of 32 bit versus 64 bit for Corretto, so I'm also puzzled why the idP seems to be running just fine in 32 bit mode on that server.
