Notwithstanding that there's pretty much no chance the IdP gets any faster than it is, since you have this all in place it would be interesting to see what impact the Amazon accelerated JCE code on top of OpenSSL might do to the results.

It's not too hard to drop into a system for testing, mainly it's just a matter of overriding the java.security file to use with a -D property in start.ini
