FileMaker and SHib ... ?

Steven,

We had a request for this about a year ago. Our customer ended up
using Microsoft AD authentication with Filemaker Go. Here are the
notes I made when we were discussing Shib auth, for what it's worth:

"Had conference call with vendor. Received documents about configuring
'external authentication' with FileMaker. Customer thinks it's not
really feasible to use Shibboleth in his configuration given
development resources (he would rather not do custom web publishing
with FileMaker Server directly). Instead, he would like to use
FileMaker Go and have users sign in with their UW NetID credentials.
This can be integrated with Active Directory or Apple's OpenDirectory
per Customer and the docs linked in notes. Pending discussion on
feasibility. "

(the links were to PDFs for "Filemaker Server Customer Web Publishing"
and "Filemaker Server Getting Started"--let me know if you want these
and I can email directly)

I don't recall what the custom web publishing development with
FileMaker Server involved, but apparently I thought it would be
possible to make this work with Shib.
