FileMaker and SHib ... ?

please ... no hooting, hollering, or laughing.  ;-)

We actually have an interesting local project that really wants to use 
FileMaker Server; they have partners at other US campuses, and in 
Europe. I'm sometimes a bit crazy, but I'd love to make this work with 
SHib. Think of the fun with GDPR !

The doc says you can turn on "external authentication" in the FM server. 
When you do this FM seems to begin using apache (if the server is 
running on OS X) or IIS (if the server is running Windows).

Has anyone ever tried going down the FileMaker Shib route ? Any 
possibilities ?
