JFYI, the UKf created an extension for the obsolete IDPv2 for that, at
https://github.com/ukf/ua-attribute-idp-ext
which allows mapping CIDR blocks to generated attributes.
Their use case was walk-in-users/patrons in libraries, AFAIR.
