The overarching thought I have is that this is really not a good work item 
for the core team because it's not specialized knowledge. There are 
probably under 10 people I trust to do SAML code in the world, and I'm one 
of them. I would trust lots and lots of people to do this. So I don't 
think this is something to spend part of our core 3.5 FTE on personally.

If we had a team with 20 developers and varied skills, then my opinion 
would probably be very different, whether the work was focused on EDS or 
CDS-like approaches.
