Eventually, but not on a timeline that will be helpful to you.
If you file a bug, and attach the material *and* a sample response that's
crashing, I will eventually have a chance to attempt to reproduce a crash.
That won't happen for a while, likely many weeks or a few months.

Well, there's a bug, and something in the response is triggering the bug,
or it's something environmental.

Sorry, but that's not likely. There are very few cases in which this
occurs with any frequency (I have systems that have gone years without
crashing), and I don't have the time right now to spend on the SP,
particularly for something that I probably won't be able to reproduce.
The one thing I would look at is the size of the signing key on the IdP.
If that's an unnecessarily huge key, I believe that will crash one of the
libraries I use (not my code, but I'm stuck with it). It would probably
have to be at least 8192 bits to cause that. Some people are starting to
generate keys that large, so it's not unheard of, but it's very rare.
