Error occured attempting authentication

Peter, thank you very much for your quick reply. Yes, I have visited and
acted upon that page and many others. As you can see in my
attribute-resolver.xml excerpt (original post), I did implement the
"referrals" suggestion based on that page: <LDAPProperty
name="java.naming.referral" value="follow"/>. 

The verified "other code" was the Microsoft AD Computers and Users snap-in -
I used the same username and password and was able to connect to our AD
server and browse the Users container.

Any other suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
