Error occured attempting authentication

Peter, I'm so sorry, but I missed the second suggestion that you made about
the global catalog port. So, I tried that, and the good news is that I
finally got past the login page (assumed it authenticated, yay!), but then I
got the next error (below, boo!) so I'll chase this one down now. 

BTW, why would the global catalog work, and not my prior config (sorry, I'm
not an LDAP expert yet)? Our user accounts are not in an OU unfortunately,
they're just in a "container" - and I don't have "cn=Users" in the "baseDn"
because in prior attempts, that caused an error.
