A problem with the first boot of Shibboleth IdP 2.4.0

You may be able to catch typos like missing or mis-matched start and end of elements by pasting the xml into an xml-aware editor;
many choices, most of which I've not used, but I've found Xmplify < xmplifyapp.com > useful for this purpose.
