Cannot navigate to website

Well I tried restoring a backup I made of the original shibboleth2.xml file,
and that's the only thing that I have fiddled with as far as I can remember.
How else could it be broken? Running shibd -t just tells me that the
configuration is invalid and to check the console, but that is all. Am I
missing something here?
