Benchmarking Shibboleth IdP/Terracotta

Hari,
in the past months, we have been evaluating an IdP 2.3 with Terracotta
3.5.1 (both in a 2-nodes-cluster of KVM-virtualized Debian GNU/Linux
machines, each node with 4x QEMU Virtual CPU @2.5GHz, 4GB RAM, 1GB Swap)
using the Grinder, and got about 20 logins per second. Without
Terracotta it was about 60 logins per second. But this is just my two
cents - we are also still looking for performance tests of other IdP
users. Maybe performance is getting better if you manage to disable
Terracotta's persistent disk cache?

searching the mailing lists for words like "throughput" or "performance" at
