IdP 3 Release Date?

I like Ethan do not sit anywhere near purse strings :-) ..additionally,
I do not have an answer to your question of "what would make it easier
for people to donate". However, you have gotten my attention. 

I have always been under the impression that we were 'covered' with our InC
/ Internet2 memberships.. Honestly though I really don't know how much of 
this gets re-injected back to projects, (any projects).

As a smallish Univ. I'm sure we will not be able to become members of
the/any consortium.. but I will be sending some sort of proposal across
my superiors desktops. 

We are relying more and more on this software stack and like you said
the alternative to a couple grand a year ... is not pretty.

Quick thought: Perhaps Nicole et all can come up with some sort of software
maint/updating wording that would work for any <5k donation etc..
