I think it depends whether we want them to co-exist in a support sense. If the Graal option is really just a hedge for us internally and not something we want to really release now, then I’d probably agree we should just rehouse the existing plugin ID to be the native one, but have the other project building and testing using the same plugin ID. If at a future point we have to switch, people just “upgrade” to it. If that doesn’t work because of differences in the language, then it seems more likely we’d want separate IDs.
