I’m still stuggling to work out how to handle these multiple Nashorn plugins. It seems we have several options
Current/RSN state
-----------------
* net.shibboleth.idp.plugin.nashorn is the GraalVM plugin
* net.shibboleth.idp.plugin.nashorn.jdk is the JDK plugin
* The source (JDK/GraalVM is going to be distiguished by the jar name.
What we want to do
------------------
* Encourage people to the JDK plugin
Options
-------
* Just leave things as they are and tell people to install the …jdk version
* Swap the names to the the GraalVM ones is called …graalvm and the jdk one has no post-garnish (makes for a clean upgrade)
* Distinguish both with a postfix and tell people to use the jdk one. Make the current (non post fixed) version end of life)
* Make both plugins provide the same plugin ID (after all they are never going to coexist). Point the management properties to the one we currently prefer and keep the other one up our sleeve.
Frankly at this stage I prefer the last option but I can be argued away from it.
