Thanks for the update.
As mentioned in the link by running the update / install again the idpnew file was created and I could then diff the files to get the changes.

I made some testing and reproduced the same behaviour with the latest
IdP release. It has been discussed as a part of this ticket:

I verified that it has been fixed for the IdP 5.2.0-SNAPSHOT, but not in
any real IdP release yet.
