Regarding Shibboleth IdP's Future Support for Tomcat

That's not really accurate.

We don't officially "support" anything specific, any container supporting the required standards is fine and if a member were using one and had an issue, we'd at least look at it.

We recommend Jetty because that's what we test on, and that courtesy would not extend to non-member bug reports, we would simply require they be reproduced on Jetty unless it was obviously not container-related.
