Nothing in the logs, except:
"Unable to map non-default applicationId to an ApplicationOverride, 
check configuration"

What XML namespace should be in the override xml?
Now this is in the file:
<ApplicationOverride id="applicationid" 
entityID="https://myhostname/shibboleth">
   some stuff
</ApplicationOverride>
