That would be incorrect though. The *build* works with either. A given package will depend at runtime on what it was built against, and my build uses the basic install of Rocky, which provides openssl 3 OOB.

I don't see how any conclusion can be reached here except you built this yourself (or got it from somebody that did), and part of that build relied on openssl 1.

If that's not so, I'll have to dig more, but the plain fact is that I installed them from scratch on a box without any of them, and none of this happened. I don't see how I can reach any conclusion other than my package is fine and that you aren't using my package. I don't see how else it could end up with a different dependency manifest than what mine pulled in.

Or perhaps there's some historical package involved and something didn't get updated, since my install was only the latest stuff.
