trouble with status page in IDP 4, and tomcat 8

The above path is not where any of the cached/unpacked copies live,
AFAIR, it's the whole 'work' directory -- plus the extracted WAR in
$CATALINA_BASE/webapps/.

Aside: Wouldn't deleting $CATALINA_HOME/work/Catalina/localhost that
also blow away your context descriptor / context deployment fragment?
(I guess you can put the same info into some other file or directory.)
