Yes, I didn't do anything special to the internals to isolate most of the CAS behavior, just the config file. There's no real way to do it without exposing the system objects in some way that doesn't really make anything better. The CAS support will probably be pulled out and turned into a plugin in V5, ideally in a drop-in way that won't actually force anybody to change anything apart from actually installing it.
