IdP v4 saml response size

Hi list,

one of our IdP customers connects with an SP that has an arbitrary limit
of 20480 bytes for the size of a SAML response. So we migrated their IdP
from 3.4.7 to 4.0.1, and this SP now complains because the response has
grown just a bit beyond that limit. My first reaction was to push back
and let them repair their buggy SP. However I wonder how I could
influence the response size in any way. Regarding attributes, there is
no option to send less. Any other ideas?
