That's untrue, the clock skew is somewhere else internal, so no, not fixable without figuring out why it's actually broken.

If you override the integration objects wholesale I imagine you can outfit the setting yourself without using a property. These properties are for people who do not want to do things like what you're doing. Just stop using them and it doesn't matter what the bugs are with them.
