It wasn't intended, but I view that piping yes into the command and it not working is a feature, not a but.  

Frankly, it would take significant pressure from the membership to make me make the system even more open to abuse.    I should also add that plugin developers are at complete liberty to not ship the certificate with the plugin, at which point everything becomes moot because you then *have* to maintain your truststore.

That sounds like an excellent idea! If you put in an RFE I will get it actioned for 4.2.

Thank you, I am gratified that people are getting value out of it already.  I was expecting it to be several months or even years before the ability to do independent version revision became important, but that has proven to not be the case already.
