New to Shibboleth. Having a service stopping problem

There is no "Shibboleth Daemon" involved with an IdP. If you mean Jetty (or Tomcat) are stopping, I guess I'd be looking at their logs to start with, or for a Linux host I'd be trying to catch core dumps. Honestly, that just doesn't really happen much, if at all; something's deeply wrong on the host. Lack of sufficient memory perhaps.
