Take a loot at dist\conf\LDAP.properties.  You'll see it set there.  

>  idp.attribute.resolver.LDAP.searchFilter        = (uid=$resolutionContext.principal)

So you removed it.  Its usually a *really* bad idea to remove an uncommented property from the property files unless you really understand what you are doing.
