The current version in the official repository of SLES 12 SP4 is the „slightly“ outdated shibboleth-sp-2.5.5-6.6.1 which I don´t want to use for obvious reasons. I found an old post on this mailinglist from 2018 (https://marc.info/?l=shibboleth-users&m=151992115225846&w=2), so SuSE seems to ignore that topic totally. That's irresponsible in my opinion, if there is a build in the official respository I would assume, that this is a supported version with all security fixes included (which I highly doubt in that case). They get a lot of money from our university, I think I will try to give some „feedback“ through the official channels. Maybe this could change something….

That would be great and buy me some time to switch to another server os until SLES 12 SP5 is EOL if they don´t change their policy concerning that topic. SLES was the only supported server os which was offered by our computing center when we started our project 10 years ago….
