If you are doing it for a specific SP then that means you are probably going to use an activation condition on the encoder, in which
case you are probably best using the old style with an attribute definition and an encoder.  That isn't going away.

If you want to do it the new way (either in XML or in a properties file) then the name you want is "saml2.friendlyName"
