Windows Server 2012R2 issues (Application Pool issue?) Shibboleth

We are experiencing an issue when installing the Service Provider application
on our Windows Server 2012R2 IIS server (V8).

Once installed via the .msi (after the needed reboot) we are unable to start
the Shibboleth Daemon (Default) service:

"Windows could not start the Shibboleth Daemon (Default) service on Local
Computer.

Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a
timely fashion."


When starting a site in IIS, the Application Pool automatically stops when
browsing to the site. I have checked Microsoft Event Viewer and can see the
following Error under 'Application':

"The Module DLL C:\opt\shibboleth-sp\lib64\shibboleth\iis7_shib.dll failed
to load.  The data is the error."


The error code is 0000007E which provides the following information:

If anybody could provide any help, insight or even just point me in the
correct direction, that would be much, much appreciated!
