   now I have a self-signed untrusted certificate from OpenSSL which will expire after 10 years and same I have used in shibboleth whereas SSL certificate generated from Certbot which is valid for 3 months I have used for the website.
so renewing certificate after 3 months for the website would not affect shibboleth. Please correct me if I am wrong.

It's also what the software does by default, and the documentation
explains the reason why (TrustManagement in the wiki).

So you'd mainly only end up in that situation if you changed this but
without undertanding it.
