My point was that is has been changed, from "supporting federations
just fine" to "must do bilateral setup manually".
I don't think that my employer even subscribes to this service and
personally I couldn't care less about any of it, but moving from a
working federated SAML SP to this crap does not make me or many others
finding their systems broken and themselfs blackmailed into the
"dominant cloud" model not think happy thoughts about those service
providers, to say the least.
I'll find/create another job, no problem, but our federation members
are now inheriting all that extra work, with zero local expertise
available. And unless they coordinate heavily with their peers -- most
don't -- they are now easily devided and coaxed into implementing
nonsense upon nonsense (most not even necessary), leaving big
unmaintainable messes at most institutions.
