Peoplesoft SAML Shib SSO

Hi all,

Back in 2014 I gave a presentation at an Apereo conference on how to integrate Peoplesoft with CAS.

Honestly it was a hack then and it is more of a hack now :)

Looking forward I think a true SAML integration is the way to go.

So who has experience with integrating Shib as an SSO with Peoplesoft? My google search shows many 3rd parties like Appsian (Grey-Heller) and others doing this as well as some Oracle docs showing how to do this.

I would love to do a quick(?) proof of concept and present my findings internally.

As much as I like CAS I see the growing footprint of Okta, Ping, ADFS, Azure, et. al.  and the ubiquity of SAML (we have 150 SAML “cloud” applications with our Shib IDP) as something that must be addressed in order to keep Peoplesoft current in our SSO ecosystem.
