FYI , as you mention "they fix it ..." , I tried to use latest jars : 
shib-cas-authenticator-3.2.4.jar and cas-client-core-3.5.1.jar (instead 
of shib-cas-authenticator-3.0.0.jar and cas-client-core-3.3.3.jar) but 
the pb is the same .

I also  tried to blindly changed "/**/*-flow.xml" to 
"*../***/*-flow.xml" in system/conf/webflow-config.xml, the IDP servlet 
did start without the error I had about I/O ...pattern '/**/*-flow.xml' 
, but then everything (status, SSO ...) failed , so that was not a good 
guess !

Just to be sure I am not missleading here, the answer I mention in my 
first request about setting explicitly idp.home (although mine is 
default to /opt/shibboleth-idp ) is not a potential answer to that 
pattern '/**/*-flow.xml' Exception ?
