Andy, is this an EC2 instance running in us-east-1?

I'm getting exactly this same error, but only on EC2 instances co-located in AWS us-east-1.  I haven't had any problems updating EC2 instances in eu-west-1 or hosts at any of our African or Asian data centers.  Oddly, I can download the RPMs using curl, so I'm not sure what's going on.
