I tried various and some worked and some didn't. It doesn't matter because you can't control them and they're probably all missing different files, that's normally how it behaves when it acts up.

Use the script I provided and then follow the advice in the comment it includes, which tells you to change the repository base from download.opensuse.org to downloadcontent.opensuse.org for the duration of the outage.

No, the generated file tells you this:

# If the mirrors stop working, change download to downloadcontent...

The mirrors stopped working (again). So that's the only option.

Since it's not *my* repo, your premise is faulty. For 15 years nobody has contributed any effort to address it, so it remains hosted by the OBS and best effort. It is their repo and it behaves the way it has for several years, mostly fine and occasionally not fine. Rarely as bad as last week when the whole system went belly up, but they had it back up in a day, and I can live with that when the price is nothing.

The OBS team doesn't care who uses their free service or what problems they have, that's why it's free. And the mirrors are not official or obligated to do much of anything, they can cherry pick any packages they want. I wish they didn't bother with them at all for unofficial projects, but that's not my call.

All of them are unofficially provided by this project, there isn't any distinction.
