An Apache-free SP

Hi, all,

At the risk of being off-topic, I'm wondering if anyone can provide me with any solid pros/cons on things like Onelogin's Python-SAML and Java-SAML implementations as well as other options to run an SP without Apache and mod_shib.

In our efforts to Dockerize, our cloud architects have been looking into ways to have services running in Docker containers that don't have the extra weight of Apache. They've discovered the two Onelogin language-specific SAML implementations and were wondering if those would do a decent job of replacing mod_shib. I'm especially curious how these might measure up to using Shibd in CGI mode with a lighter-weight web server.

Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

Keith
