Aside from being out of date, there's nothing of real relevance there. There's nothing you have to do at all. Your IdP supports a standard interface and presumably supports reasonable standard attributes. You're done.

With any SP, no matter the vendor, you identify the technical requirements around user data and either force the vendor to support what you have or accomodate them. Nothing involves you learning anything about ADFS.
