Invalid command ShibCompatWith24

I installed shibboeth on linux (centos 7).  The install of all packages and
dependencies was very clean and without issue.

When I tried to start apache I received this error.  If I remove the line
apache starts just fine. 

httpd[20146]: AH00526: Syntax error on line 44 of
/etc/shibboleth/apache22.config:
httpd[20146]: Invalid command 'ShibCompatWith24', perhaps misspelled or
defined by a module not included in the server configuration

Is this needed for these versions of the shibd and httpd?
