MemcachedStorage and IdP3

Hello,

We are experiencing some timeouts during session storage/retrieval from our IdPs(we run 2 behind a load balancer) which are configured for Memcached storage.  We have left the default config in place(except the 'servers' of course), so the timeout is 2s and the FailureMode is "Redistribute", which I understand to mean "move on to the next functional node".

My question is, in "Redistribute" mode, if the storage piece only writes to one of our 2 nodes, due to a failure on one of them, would a retrieval attempt check both nodes for that session, since our clients are configured to know about both nodes?

Just trying to gauge severity of the issue, so I want to understand the process.
