You don't have to prepare for anything, everything that worked still works, or should. If you want to clean up, clean up. If not, don't. I waited months to go touch my filters.

There are no changes to namespaces or schema declarations that I'm aware of so I don't know what you're asking about. If something broke, we have a bug.
