Error mapping SSO, getting 404 on localhost/Shibboleth.sso/Status

Not a Windows SP expert (but I'm working on it), so I don’t think it helps, but…

This error seems to indicate that the filter cannot see shibd,

I'd be looking closely at the shibd log to see if anything untoward happened at that time.  Also double check that the filter really is happy - that is a notorious trouble spot.
