Ok, I spotted something you can *try*, I don't know if it will work. I believe the registration of the bean parser got stuck in the wrong spot in the code, and you can try changing the namespace of the xsi:type value you're using from the "urn:mace:shibboleth:2.0:relying-party:saml" namespace to the "surrounding" one in the file, "urn:mace:shibboleth:2.0:relying-party"

I'm still puzzled by why we'd do any of this since it would mean you have to change the file anyway, defeating the purpose of compatibility, but that might be a bug workaround.

Either way I'll file it so we can get it sorted.
