I believe I patched in a limited version of it into 2.4, but I'm not going hunting, and I could definitely be wrong. I do see code for a limited form of it in 3.

An SP doing this would be exceedingly unusual or would involve some kind of VO use case. An SP doing queries at all would raise red flags with me unless it was a SAML 1 SP.
