We use the memcached storage service with 256M per node and we've never had
any sign of memory pressure in our fairly large deployment. While that's
not apples to oranges since you're asking about the in-memory storage
service, it's probably a decent indication of order of magnitude. In short
you probably have nothing to worry about from server-side storage.
