Oh, obviously that's a whole nother thing.

My answer would be that you don't "test" a deployment of an IdP with some third party, you run an SP to do it.

If you're looking for a first use case to go outside the organization, that should perhaps be driven more by the library's knowledge of which vendors are good choices in terms of the user population affected.

There are also lots of different ways people go about this stuff. We rarely use SAML for anything but off-campus access. Forcing people to login for all access to something they access with no friction now often causes pushback.
