It is. This is all related to the most recent "JAAS Athentication"
thread, where I pointed the OP to an existing JAAS module that can do
authentication against a MySQL database.

There's no relation to Shibboleth, of couse, other that Shibboleth
supports JAAS. As such this is not the best place to discuss
non-related third-party code.
