Hi,

We use Banner as a Student System. It feeds data to our IDM system 
(Person Registry), which in turn provisions an MIT KDC, ldap, and AD. 
Our Shibboleth IDP uses the MIT KDC and ldap.

Banner also feeds data into our Grouper system. As students register for 
and drop courses, those changes are fed in real time into Grouper, which 
then forwards them in real time to ldap, AD, and out LMS system (Canvas).

We use Shibboleth to login to the Banner student system (both Banner 8.x 
and XE).
