Upgrading shibboleth SP from 2.4.3 to 2.5.5 - does SP metadata change

I need to upgrade my Solaris Shib SP from v2.4.3 to v2.5.5.  Will the
metadata I generate and provide to any IDP administrators change from my old
version?   Is there an upgrade path where it doesn't change?  I compile each
program using a Sun compiler.

I'm trying to limit the downtime for the users of the application when/if
new metadata must be loaded on their IDP.
