SharePoint/Shibboleth

I used to run such a system.
When you configure multiple auth sources in SP (claims and AD), by default, SP prompts users to select which source they want to use. We modified that selection page to make the choice of AD automatically when the user’s IP address was an internal IP address. That way, users could just click on links and get right in without being prompted for anything. If they were external, then they saw the prompt.
Remote users used primarily Shibboleth via ADFS and guests used Google and LinkedIn via SimpleSAMLPHP via ADFS.

Hi List:
There are couple documented online but was wondering if anyone on this list has integrated a SharePoint for federated access - where local users continue to access via AD, and remote institution users access via Shibboleth, ADFS? The local AD does not have ADFS.
Thanks.
