I don't understand what you're asking. What is "the URL" in your
question? If the question is "How do I get at the entityID from the
requesting SAML SP" then the tautologically answer is: yes, you store
the entityID info in the entityID.
I already pointed to you how to get at the entityID itself.

Since the entityID is of type "anyURI" in the schema an implementation
that didn't allow URLs there would have to be very badly broken
indeed. (So bad it wouldn't be able to interop with 99.99% of the SAML
entities I've seen.)
